The Ehsas Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2021 will begin on September 30, 2021 with the reopening of the Ehsas Scholarship Portal.

Students can submit their applications for the academic year 2021-22 through the Ehsas Scholarship Portal by November 30, 2021.

As the Ehsas Scholarship Portal reopening date approaches, here are all the details you need to know about the Ehsas Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2021.

Ehsas Undergraduate Scholarship Program History

This is the largest need-based scholarship initiative in the history of Pakistan. Under the initiative, 50,000 deserving students will be awarded scholarships for the next four years.

While the federal government has allocated Rs 10 million. Over the next four years, Rs. 24 billion has been earmarked for the Ehsas Undergraduate Scholarship Program, 50% of the total scholarships for girls and 2% for students with various disabilities.

On November 4, 2019, Prime Minister Imran Khan launched a program to provide need-based scholarships to deserving gifted students across the country.

It aims to support undergraduate level students who are unable to pursue university education due to limited financial resources after completing FA / FSC / Intermediate.

Unlike previous scholarship programs aimed at MS or Ph.D. The program aims to provide financial support to students in four- and five-year undergraduate programs.

Qualification criteria for Ehsas Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Admitted to HEC approved undergraduate degree programs.
Falling below the age limit set by the institution’s rules, that is, the maximum age for eligibility for scholarship, is equal to the maximum age for applying for admission to undergraduate programs in HEI.

Scholarships under the Ehsas Undergraduate Scholarship Program will be awarded to new entrants:

Family income is less than Rs. 45,000 per month.
Admission was on merit only. Merit here means that the student has met the admission criteria of the institution in which he wants to study.

Who can’t apply for Ehsas Scholarship Program?

A student is ineligible if they are:

Enrolled in distance education programs and affiliated colleges (both public / private).
Admission to Self Help / Self Help / Self Financing, or High Fee Evening Programs.

Benefit from another scholarship or continuous grant.

How to apply for Ehsas Scholarship Program

Once these details are entered, a one time PIN (OTP) will be sent to the applicant’s email and mobile phone. Upon joining the OTP, the applicant will be registered on the Ehsas Scholarship Portal.

After signing up, applicants can proceed to complete the application form.

All applicants will have to apply through HEC’s Ehsas Scholarship Portal after signing up. Applications sent to the HEC in any other way will not be considered.

Registration with the HEC portal is also a fairly straightforward process. After clicking ‘Sign Up’, applicants are required to provide the following details.

How to complete the application Form

After logging in, click ‘Apply Now’ to begin the process of filling out the application form for this year’s Ehsas Undergraduate Scholarship Program.

Applicants are requested to read the instructions and scholarship guidelines carefully before beginning the application process.

Once signed up, applicants must log in to the Ehsas Scholarship Portal using their registered credentials.
