History
In 2005, the Okara Campus of the University of Education, Lahore (UE) inaugurated by the then Minister of Defense (Pakistan) on 23 February 2016. The Punjab Provincial Assembly passed “Okara University 2016”. Subsequently, on April 1, 2016, the Punjab Government issued a notification to upgrade the Okara Campus to Okara University.
