Islamabad University establishes by the Government of Pakistan on July 22, 1967. So in 1976, it was renamed the Quaid-e-Azam University in memory of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah – this is his 100th birthday. However, the spelling of the university’s name is different, that is, the use of “i” instead of “e” to represent Ezāfe, combining the two words of Quaid-e-Azam in Jinnah’s title.
